Taking the Route des Vins in Alsace

You can start off in the north and head southwards, travelling 170km through beautiful villages and pleasant hillsides, or join the route at Riquewihr-a must-see destination-and ask yourself the all-important question : “where to now, north or south ?

170km of pleasure, in all seasons, through beautiful, unspoilt countryside. The journey of initiation takes you from the sophistication of grands crus to the exciting simplicity of the best Sylvaners. Feel free to stop, taste, and consume with moderation : there is no shortage of “winstubs”. Get off to a good start along the well-marked footpaths which lead you up through the vines to the top of the hills. Don’t miss Obernai, Kaysersberg, or Eguisheim... but be warned, each and every village will tempt you to find out more.
